Make Money Blogs on EntreCard

Tuesday, March 25th, 2008 | My Ramble with

Cool i made a list :)

Please, i am the first person to defend the rights for Freedom of Speech but when i read a post on a blog titled: EXPOSED: The 10 Most Expensive Make Money Blogs on EntreCard, i thought i might comment on this as i find it actually quite funny as my blog is just over 2 months old and i am already in the s..t

To be honest, as much as i would like to be, i am not “clearly very active and involved member of the EntreCard community”. As i only drop about 100 - 150 cards a day and have only one blog to gain credits with. I work 8 hours a day and also run a online zippo store, so i do not have much time to spend collecting 300 cards a day.

entrecardblog

I myself am mystified at the cost of my Entrecard.

I hope it is because i write semi decent content and other bloggers like it.

If i write something that is different, controversial or maybe a post that helps somebody, they might write a comment or post about it on their blog. Then visitors to the blog who do not usually visit my blog, might like what they read and visit my site. Who knows?

Maybe the reason the price is so high is as i earn ECs i spend them advertising my logo on other high quality sites and get a lot of ECs back in return. I can then spend these entrecard credits on more advertising. Maybe it is just good advertising. Who knows?

Most make money online blogs have thousands of credits for contests and signups. Last look i had about 900 ECs.

I use a lot of ECs to purchase things as well. As this is a blog to help beginners make money online without spending money, entrecard credits can be used to buy new headers and 125 x 125 logo, CSS work on your template etc.

So i decided to write this post as a test. without any money or ECs to see how many visitors i can get to the original site.

I will put a few links to the your blog and post, and all i ask is for the owner of the site to leave an honest comment on how many visitors this post attracted to your blog. I will leave this post up for 3 days, just so it can get a good viewing.

Please this is not in any way justifying why my Entrecard price is so high. If any one is unhappy with the cost they spent advertising on my site, please also leave a comment.

Thanks

Steve

    Hello Steve!

Before anything, I would like to say that my list was not meant as a personal attack to you or your blog as a whole, it is just a simple study being conducted by me about the EntreCard system. With that said, the ability to get actual live stats from your blog will be of great help to me since I can then have more accurate numbers to base my research on. I will gladly update you on how much traffic I get to my blog from this post using stats from Google Analytics and will make changes to my post accordingly based on the stats from this little experiment.

Your EC strategy sounds much like mine. Your price is not out of the ordinary and i would advertise on your site if you had any spots. YOM had open spots (so I advertised on his blog). You both have good content and I like the research he did on the category of making money.

My blog isn’t about making money, but I still read some of the MMB’s just to see if there are things I can do to earn a buck on the side. So far I haven’t found much since all the advice seems to scream niche and target — I’m a scattergun kind of blog, so I will probably never be a millionaire, but it’s nice to dream.

Anyway, good luck with your experiment and keep writing good articles.

    Hi Steve,

I found our blog when you placed an ad on my blog and I just approved your blog to be on my blog.

I approved your blog becoz when I opened your blog, I found it interesting and informative. I do not approve blogs with nonsense content.

I must admit, I am also beginning to be addicted in dropping. However, what I avoid is not to read blogs.

So, I do not think a high price blog is a good blog. Some droppers are passive. They just drop and run, esp. if the blog is slow and the content is junk.

So be glad that you do not, you made me stop and drop by.

    Hope you continue that way.

Hey Steve! Found you tonight via Entrecard but also from BlogCatalog - your card is very notable :)

I’m not sure what you mean, and I swear it could be me, I’ve had a very very long day, but you say:

“I will put a few links to the your blog and post, and all i ask is for the owner of the site to leave an honest comment on how many visitors this post attracted to your blog.”

Honest to god, I’ve read and re-read that several times and my brain freezes up LOL! What…??

I start to grasp what you mean, and then it just slips away. That must clearly indicate it’s time to call it a day :)

Good to see you again though, and your fee at Entrecard is high because you are very active. It’s that simple…

    Diane

    thanks for visiting.

I didn’t want to name the owner of the site and i knew he would read this post so when i said

“I will put a few links to the your blog and post, and all i ask is for the owner of the site to leave an honest comment on how many visitors this post attracted to your blog.”

I was talking in code :) to the owner of the blog who said you do not get value for money when you pay a high price to advertise on my site.

It was a little test to show when you pay a high price to advertise on my site, some people who visit my site not only drop a card and run, some actually read my posts.

So i asked if the owner of the blog could just let me know how many visitors he got by me posting links to his site thus attracting more visitors to his site.

Its sort of a long story but there is no hard feelings between us. I have even offered to do a free review of his site and i am adding his site to my blog roll just to show there is no grudges.
