Make Money With Tnx.net

Saturday, March 29th, 2008

Starting April i have decided to to trial Tnx.net for a month.

Now i know there is a lot of talk about Tnx.net and how Google frowns upon ‘paid links’, but if used correctly i think it could have major benefits.

In this post i will describe a little bit about how Tnx.net works, but also my tips on how to use Tnx.net and hopefully make some money online and not get into Google’s bad books.

Publishers

One of the main advantages of using Tnx.net is that you can sell links on every page of your site, instead of just the main page.

Whenever a link on your site is sold to one of the tnx.net advertisers, you get paid in points. When you collect enough points you have three options available on what you can do with these points

Build up points and watch the price grow.
Sell points back to Tnx.net or any other member.
Advertise your website.

Tnx.net has a special offer on digital point forums where you can receive 5000 points to advertise on 5000 websites.

But if you would like to make money online with Tnx.net, the price at last look was about $0.61/1000 points. $5 is the minimum payout for Tnx.net and is paid via paypal.

Tnx.net also has a affiliate program which offers 13.3% of all Tnx points he/she earns in the future.

Sell links on every page of your site to thousands of advertisers!

Advertisers

Once you have collected enough Tnx points you can use these to get backlinks from 1000s of sites.

- 20 000 different PR0 pages from different websites
- 400 different PR1 pages from different websites
- 200 different PR2 pages from different websites
- 100 different PR3 pages from different websites
- 40 different PR4 pages from different websites
- 20 different PR5 pages from different websites

Tnx.net also offers a free tool for advertisers to make paid links look natural. Tnx.net also has some good tips which helps advertisers to rank #1 on Google for highly competetive keywords.

My tips for using Tnx.net

Please don’t quote me on this, but i remember reading somewhere Google’s Matt Cutts commenting on ‘paid links’,

“We are concerned with paid links that flow PageRank and attempt to game Google’s ranking. We are not worried about links that are paid but do not affect search engines. Google likes clean and relevant search results”

What you need to do as a publisher is only have relevant paid links on your site. Tnx.net allows you to approve advertisers, so make sure you only have relevant links showing on your site. You can read more about this feature here

Tnx.net currently has 50 672 users with daily growth: +0.26% so you are bound to find something in your niche.

As an advertiser your first impulse is to go out and buy 1000s of back links to your site. DON’T! Google likes clean and relevant links (there’s that relevant word again, but sorry i can’t stress its importance). Again, only advertise on sites relevant to your niche.

Also do not go and buy links to 1000s of sites at once. Google will not like the sudden appearance of 2000 back links to your site. So try and limit your advertising to a maximum of 8 relevant sites a day and have a total of about 80 links to your site going at once.

So we will give Tnx.net a go for a month and will let our readers know the outcome May 1st.

Make Money Blogs on EntreCard

Tuesday, March 25th, 2008

Cool i made a list :)

Please, i am the first person to defend the rights for Freedom of Speech but when i read a post on a blog titled: EXPOSED: The 10 Most Expensive Make Money Blogs on EntreCard, i thought i might comment on this as i find it actually quite funny as my blog is just over 2 months old and i am already in the s..t

To be honest, as much as i would like to be, i am not “clearly very active and involved member of the EntreCard community”. As i only drop about 100 – 150 cards a day and have only one blog to gain credits with. I work 8 hours a day and also run a online zippo store, so i do not have much time to spend collecting 300 cards a day.

entrecardblog

I myself am mystified at the cost of my Entrecard.

I hope it is because i write semi decent content and other bloggers like it.

If i write something that is different, controversial or maybe a post that helps somebody, they might write a comment or post about it on their blog. Then visitors to the blog who do not usually visit my blog, might like what they read and visit my site. Who knows?

Maybe the reason the price is so high is as i earn ECs i spend them advertising my logo on other high quality sites and get a lot of ECs back in return. I can then spend these entrecard credits on more advertising. Maybe it is just good advertising. Who knows?

Most make money online blogs have thousands of credits for contests and signups. Last look i had about 900 ECs.

I use a lot of ECs to purchase things as well. As this is a blog to help beginners make money online without spending money, entrecard credits can be used to buy new headers and 125 x 125 logo, CSS work on your template etc.

So i decided to write this post as a test. without any money or ECs to see how many visitors i can get to the original site.

I will put a few links to the your blog and post, and all i ask is for the owner of the site to leave an honest comment on how many visitors this post attracted to your blog. I will leave this post up for 3 days, just so it can get a good viewing.

Please this is not in any way justifying why my Entrecard price is so high. If any one is unhappy with the cost they spent advertising on my site, please also leave a comment.

Thanks

Steve

Choosing An Affiliate Network

Monday, March 24th, 2008

This is the Part 2 in our series on helping beginners become an affiliate marketing guru: What to look for when choosing an affiliate marketing company.

In a recent post, i discussed how most affiliate marketing blogs and ebooks tell you to buy and set up 5 or more sites then spend $$$ to promote the affiliates products.

So we decided to start a 30 day trial experiment.

AdsenseAddict likes to help beginners make money online and understand most newcomers to affiliate marketing do not have the funds let alone the time to accomplish this at the beginning. So we have come up with a 30 day experiment where we are only using FREE methods to promote our affiliates products.

Choosing an Affiliate Marketing Network

In this post i will not be comparing affiliate marketing companies and saying one is better than the other. nor will i be saying use text links (like adsense) instead of banners or 125 x 125 logos. These are just my views after two weeks research.

Choosing an affiliate network to work with is not an easy one. There are many affiliate networks to choose from and it is hard to know which are the best without first trying them.

To be honest, the best affiliate program for your site depends on which site you run. It is probably best to pick an affiliate product or service which your visitors would be interested in. Also you need to decide on which type of program you would like use as not all affiliate companies offer these services.

Some examples of the programs available are:

pay per click – you get paid when a visitor clicks a link, usually this is only a few cents per click

pay per sale – you receive a commision when a visitor makes a purchase from the affiliate site. Look for a company that uses a cookie duration of a minimum 21 days. So if a visitor does not make a purchase on the first or second visit, but makes a purchase say a week later, you still receive the commision.

pay per lead – you are paid a set amount for each visitor you send to the merchant’s site that performs an action, such as joining their program, signing up for their newsletter, filling out a survey, etc.

pay per impression – pay per impression affiliate programs pay you for every ‘view’ that an advertisement on your site receives. The rates pay per impression programs generally pay are on a CPM (Cost Per Thousand Impressions) basis.

Opinions vary greatly on which affiliate companies and methods work. After reading affiliate forum posts and blogs, you will see both positive and negative comments posted. But be careful about placing to much trust in these views as you never know the source or reasons behind such comments.

Take the make money online niche, you tend to see the same products or services advertised on a lot of sites. Does this mean the product sells or are the blogs just following the crowd? bahhh bahhhh

The thing i have found with affiliate marketing is that no one solution works. I think the only thing i did find out is that you have to experiment!

If you would like to join our free 30 day experiment to make money online with affiliate marketing and need a decent affiliate network, try the following sites:

adtoll.com

neverblueads.com

pepperjamnetwork.com
Affiliates

Qassia.com – a new way to advertise your site (beta at the moment but available free under referral)

Why these four?

Because i said so OK (only joking, it is all part of our plan)

Seriously, these companies offer the services that we felt was the easiest to use, have decent payouts and also had the following criteria: Referral program, Private Ads, Banner advertising and Email campaigns.

We are using these companies as examples only. It does not really matter what network companies you use in my 30 day trial as long as you are confident with the products or services, as next post i will explain how to set up sites and how to advertise your merchants products for free.

Affiliate Marketing Tips

Saturday, March 22nd, 2008

Recently i had the pleasure of writing a guest post for Generalmarketingblog.com. In the post i discussed my thoughts on affiliate marketing from a beginners point of view. You can read the full post here, but it basically talks about how most affiliate marketing tips on websites and in ebooks say the same thing, buy and setup lots of sites, use PPC campaigns and sign up to a paid autoresponder service to market your affiliates products.

Like most beginners i found that i do not have much time at the moment to set up and run 5 or more sites or the dollars to pay for PPC campaigns to promote the affiliates products.

Here at AdsenseAddict we like to help beginners , so after two weeks of research, i think i might have found a way to do this for FREE.

To be honest this is only a experiment at the moment and it will be the first time i am actually trying my idea. I will be showing stats regularly so you can follow our adventures as we go through exactly the same procedures. At the moment i have no idea how this will work out.

It might be a bit rough around the edges to start with, but at least it will get us started until we get some revenue to pay for a better alternative. It also shouldnt take long to setup as it is virtually the same process as writing or advertising any blog.

Here are some of the topics i will be discussing in up coming posts
How to pick an affiliate network company.
How to setup a new site to promote your affiliates referrals and products.
Autoresponders and promotion by Email campaign.
Affiliate marketing tips

I know all this is possible using paid methods but i love a challenge and like to do things a little bit different. So if you would like to become an affiliate marketing guru and do not have much cash to spend at the moment, these affiliate marketing tips might be the way to get you started.

Be sure to check back regularly and follow our journey as we try to make money online, or if you like you can subscribe to our RSS feed.

Last Resort Webcomic Review

Saturday, March 8th, 2008

This is a free review to help an amazing artist Rachel Keslensky get her webcomic promoted.

Rachel is one talented artist. Rachel’s comic is not like most comics out there. Last Resort is a science fiction webcomic set in the future, where Rachel has sort of crossed Stephen King’s Running Man with a bit a Disney magic thrown in.

Last Resort – A Tale of High Crimes…And Higher Ratings.

Last Resort is about a reality show set in the far reaches of our galaxy. The story begins when a small Talmi violinist comes to Last Resort Station for a job only to find out she’s qualified in all the wrong places!

Check out Last Resort with 16 contestants, 12 criminals, 4 volunteers and one confused furry vampire. Characters also include Jigsaw and Addy – The new executioners and and my favorite Slick.

Some of Slick’s crimes include Illicit Smuggling of Leather Products, Manufacturing of Illicit Leather Products, Sale of Illicit Leather Products ( better save all your leather now, it looks like it might be valuable in the future) and First Degree Murder. Slick like most criminals says he is innocent and that he doesn’t even like leather. One thing i found funny was that his family has apparently been making assorted bondage products for years. Not only is Rachel talented, it appears has a good sense of humor.

Last Resort is a webcomic with weekly Sunday updates and is well worth the read.

Here is a copy a Rachel’s Entrecard logo which first attracted me to Last Resort.

last resort

Blog of Last Resort

Blog of Last Resort is where Rachel has combined her talents as an artist with different ways to make your webcomic successful. But Rachel’s blog is not only about webcomics. It also includes some very useful tips including how to advertise your website using ad networks such as Project Wonderful and Entrecard and also how to attract visitors to your site using Stumbleupon.

Rachel also talks about her own comic Last Resort and in her own words “How pushing a comic brand gets done”. This section covers Rachel’s real life experiences, when you are trying to advertise your artwork at conventions, trade shows etc. Actually some of the tips we might modify a little to promote our zippo lighter stall when we open at the markets.

So if you need a little relaxation after dropping all those Entrecards, check out Rachel’s webcomic Last Resort, it is one that i will be following in the future.

Entrecard | My new Google

Tuesday, March 4th, 2008

After having seen some blogs about Entrecard and bounce rates i thought i would offer this free review on Entrecard.com being a beginner to blogging.

I dont know about you guys, but lately i am finding myself spending more time searching Entrecard than searching Google.

Please i am not comparing Entrecard to Google, it is just that Entrecard, in my opinion has three features that i found worked better for me.

Let me explain.

1) Searching

When i started my first website about 2 1/2 years ago, i spent weeks searching Google for Adsense tips and SEO advice. Most of the results that turned up sent me to either forums or to sites that just told you how much money they made.

Now please dont get me wrong i learnt a lot from some of these forums and websites but it was time consuming.

Entrecard.com on the other hand has categories for different niches. So if i need tips on marketing my website, i can just search the “internet marketing or marketing” section. Easy! At least i know that i will find something relating to the topic, not just pages of websites that are fully SEO optimized or ranked well and may just contain the keyword or phrase once or twice.
Some of the blogs i found on Entrecard, actually show you step by step on how to set up a BANS site for instance, which saves the beginner an enourmous amount of time.

2) Free advertising.

When i visit a site on Entrecard and want to learn about affiliate marketing i can drop a card and collect credits to use to advertise my site on other blogs.

So i learn and earn at the same time.

Put it this way, when i first started this blog about 6 weeks ago, and not having heard of Entrecard.com, with the marketing methods i had down on paper, i was expecting 300-500 visitors a month for the first few months. Well now its 3000 – 4000 a month and still rising. I also did not expect Adsense earnings to almost double so quickly, so that is another bonus.

3) Entrecard is more personnel.

Thanks to Entrecard i am visiting some pretty good blog sites i have never seen before. And let me tell you, there are some really talented and decent folks out there.

All of the blog owners i have got in contact with, have replied very quickly. Unlike my other site zipposuperstore.com, where i just send an email and maybe half the suppliers will respond. Oh well, their loss, they are the ones who are losing money by missing out on my purchase.

In closing who cares about bounce rates when your blog is not even 3 months old. If i make money online thats all i care about. Sorry and of course i care for my fellow Entrecard members.

Trying To Make Money Online

Sunday, March 2nd, 2008

We all read posts where bloggers make enough money per month that would last most people a year. This post i would like to let you know whats going on at AdsenseAddict and show you our monthly revenue and statistics for February.

Don’t worry, you can continue reading, there will be no pictures of checks shown thats for sure.

This blog is only about 7 weeks old, so there is still a lot of changes going on, trying to find what works and what does not.

In February i joined the affiliate marketing scene with Neverblueads. I decided on Neverblueads because of the wide range of affiliate marketing campaigns they have available and i like to try and stay loyal to one company if i can.

Another change made was i have scrapped the Scratchback widget and have
gone with ShowYourAdHere.com. The cost is the minimum price of only $5 per week,
which i think is reasonable. I might put a few more ad spaces up soon depending on the response. I did try and register with ProjectWonderful but was declined due to the age of the site, so i will give it another month and reapply.

With our other website Zipposuperstore.com we finally gave in and put up a few extra ads besides Adsense. We stayed away from flashy ads so the customer could concentrate on purchasing zippo lighters, so we will have to see how this affects sales. I have gone with just 2 gaming adverts which should hopefully go well on the zippo tricks pages.

So without further ado here is the stats for February

Zippo Sales Profit: $72.82AU

Adsense: $13.57

Shopping Ads: $16.51

Less hosting fess for 2 sites: – say $12AU

February i had a total profit of say $90.00AU.

Site Stats

Zipposuperstore.com

1682 Visits
54 Visits/Day
9926 Page Views
5.90 Pages/Visit
27.05% Bounce Rate
5:17 Avg Time on Site
82.7% New Visits

Top Traffic Source
Google Search: 1132 VIsits (67.3%)

Top Keyword
zippo tricks: 264 Visits (19.44%)

Adsenseaddict.com

5027 Page Views
1.39 Pages/Visit

74.48% New Visits

Top Traffic Source
Entrecard: 1360 Visits (37.68%)
